Design: Two - 3-inch flat treatment surfaces that create two ninety-degree treatment edges per treatment surface where each surface area comes togethers at a point. This point on the instrument allows for treatment of deeper layers of soft tissue. This instrument can be used at a 45 or 90-degree angle.
Use: Calfs, glutes, hamstrings, quads, neck and spine, shoulder, IT band and larger muscle groups.
SASTM Instrument Comparison: SASTM #4 instrument produces more evaluation and treatment surface than SASTM instruments #1, #2, and #3. The larger treatment surface decreases evaluation time, but allows for greater treatment pressure than SASTM #1, #2, and #3 instruments by using the point in the center of the instrument where the two surfaces come together.
